I am Dr. Jennifer Weinstein (she/her), a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), fear of vomiting (emetophobia) and other phobias, generalized anxiety disorder, and issues such as stress management, work life balance, and personal growth. Pulling from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), exposure with response prevention (ERP), and mindfulness and meditation practices, I tailor treatment to each individual's needs. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative one and love working together to help people on their journey to wellness. I believe everyone is capable of accessing the inner resources and tools they need to guide them on this path.
I received my doctorate at the University of Hartford and have worked in a variety of clinical settings including college counseling, community mental health, and private practice. I have been a guest speaker at the University of Hartford and Curry College and participated in research and clinical work at Yale University. I have worked with diverse populations and have received supervision and training in ERP. I have training in mindfulness based cognitive therapy and have over 15 years of experience engaging in and leading various mindfulness and meditation practices.
